Testing Resources
Campus Resources
Caltech students, faculty, postdocs, and staff working on campus may obtain a free COVID-19 test administered by UCLA SwabSEQ. This PCR diagnostic testing program operates independently of Caltech.
Student Wellness Services (SWS) provides access to SwabSEQ test kits and manages the on-campus sample collection drop-off box. SWS does not register participants or record individual results. UCLA SwabSEQ reports only aggregate data—total tests and total positive cases—to the Institute.
All members of the campus community also have access to same-day, symptomatic testing through Student Wellness Services.
Faculty, staff and students may request an appointment for symptomatic testing by calling (626) 395-6393. While testing capacity may be limited, appointments are generally available Monday through Friday.
Please note that test results from UCLA SwabSEQ or SWS are not reported identifying any individual's results. All faculty, staff and students are encouraged to report positive test results via the COVID-19 reporting app. Student Wellness Services (SWS) Contact Tracing remains available to assist with individual cases, and to monitor and support response efforts in the event of clusters or outbreaks.
