Apply to the Peer Advocate Program
We are officially opening up the
application process for the second year of the Peer Advocate Program. After reviewing feedback from the current PAs and the houses, we
are making some changes to the program and class. The application will be open to current frosh, sophomores, and juniors. You are able to serve in the official role for 1 year after which time you can remain available to your peers for support. Each year a new set of individuals will be selected to officially function in the Peer Advocate role.
The application is now online and is due Tuesday
January 22, 2019 at noon, after which the selection process will begin. Once
applications have been received, the search committee will then review the
applications and obtain feedback from the house and references. Interviews will
occur during the last week of January 2019 and the first two weeks of February
2019. After interviews, the interview panel, specific to each community, will
decide on those chosen to serve as a Peer Advocate for their respective buildings
and offers will be made by Spring term registration so that those selected can
register for the Spring 2019 Peer Advocate Course.
Please review the Job Description,
Course Description, and FAQ documents on the Peer Advocate website (www.peeradvocate.caltech.edu) to
answer any questions you may have prior to and during the application process. We
will also hold an information session on Monday, January 14, 2019 from noon to
1pm in Avery Library. Of course, if you have questions that are not
answered through the provided information, please do not hesitate to contact us
by email (email@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org).
