Occupational Therapy Resident
Greetings! I am a visiting resident completing my Doctorate of Occupational Therapy this year at Caltech. I received my Masters of Occupational Therapy last year at the University of Southern California. Some of my past experiences include teaching English in Japan and working with the Tokyo English Lifeline, an anonymous phone counseling service focused on suicide prevention. I am passionate about shattering the stigma surrounding mental health and using the holistic approach of Occupational Therapy to help more people live life to its fullest.
“Occupations” are all the things that you ‘occupy’ your time with. Some of my favorite occupations include: taking photos, rock climbing, and cooking with friends. As your OT, I will be here to help you do the things you need to do, want to do, or are expected to do. I hope to tap into your intrinsic motivation so that you may foster changes in your habits/routines in order to facilitate optimal work-life balance and well-being. I am proud be a member of the Health and Wellness team and excited to support you in your journey at Caltech.
